PM/21/0003 AfREN Treasurer

Ms. Basirat Arinola Olaonipekun is a distinguished Food Research Scientist in the field of Food Microbiology. She is also a Lecturer with a strong foundation in laboratory facilitation and teaching a wide range of courses in Applied Sciences which includes Food and water Microbiology, Food Technology, Introduction to Molecular biology, Introduction to Microbiology, Protein Biochemistry, and Food Nutraceuticals and so on. Her expertise spans various areas of Food Science, including Food Microbiology, Predictive Food Microbiology, Food Processing and Preservation, Novel Food Processing Technologies, Food chemistry, Food Safety, Food standards and laws. 

Ms. Olaonipekun has been involved in the food industry related projects and have managed different projects on validation of control measures and food product development for food quality and safety assurance. 

She is the current treasurer of AfREN and her areas of further interest includes, Food safety auditing, project management and laboratory management.
