Dr. Maria Adeyemi is a notable Nutritional Biochemist with wealth of experiences in academic administration, academia, research and management consulting.
She is a member of the Nutrition Society United Kingdom (NS), Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), a member of Nigeria Institute of Food Science Technology (NIFST), Nigeria Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), a fellow of institute of sustainable development Japan, chartered member of chartered institute of Management consultant USA/CANADA, a fellow of Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN) and a fellow of Institute of Management Consultant Nigeria (IMCN).
She has served at various academic positions which include, acting Dean of Students’ affairs (2019-2021) and deputy Dean of Students’ affairs (2021-2023) and currently deputy dean of College of Pure and Applied Sciences, Caleb University Lagos, Nigeria. She has served meritoriously in a dynamic and challenging managerial capacity, functioning at various university positions/committees while supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
As a senior lecturer at department of Biochemistry at Caleb University Lagos, Dr. Adeyemi has demonstrated her commitment to advancing food research with active collaborations with food technologist and food scientists at both local and international level. Her research outputs have expanded the knowledge of food and Nutrition through practical applications for food safety, quality and sustainability. Dr. Adeyemi’s recently completed her Master’s in business administration from Caleb University Lagos, Nigeria further enriching her interdisciplinary perspective and enhancing her capacity to contribute and manage effectively.
