Evlyn Ojapah, born on March 25, 1995, in Kogi State, Nigeria, but raised in Kwara State, is a proud Ebira by tribe. Her educational journey began at Ebenezer Nursery and Primary School, followed by Divine Providence Catholic Secondary School in Kwara State. Evlyn’s love for sports and competition emerged early on, as she actively participated in track events during her schooling years, showcasing her athletic prowess. Alongside her passion for sports, Evlyn cultivated a love for swimming and found solace in the pages of books, particularly drawn to biographies and memoirs.
Driven by her passion for the sciences, Evlyn pursued a degree in Biochemistry at Ogun State University before venturing to Ukraine to pursue her dream of studying medicine. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new language and culture, she dedicated herself to mastering Russian for a year before embarking on a rigorous six-year medical program.
Throughout her academic journey, Evlyn demonstrated natural leadership qualities, often taking on the role of class captain. In 2019, she completed her medical degree and returned to Nigeria to begin her internship, passing her medical and dental licensing exams with diligence and determination.
Her postgraduate training continued at University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, where she completed her housemanship in various departments, including pediatrics, obstetrics, internal medicine, and surgery, in 2021. Eager to broaden her horizons, Evlyn embarked on her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Edo State, balancing her responsibilities in Benin City.
Following the conclusion of her NYSC, Evlyn settled in Lagos, where she secured a position in a family-centred hospital in Anthony. Seeking further professional development, she pursued a diploma in Medical Office Management in Canada, where she now excels as a Medical administrator.
Looking towards the future, Evlyn aims to specialize in pathology and research, driven by her enduring passion for education and mentorship. With her unwavering determination and commitment, she hopes to leave a lasting impact on the medical field.
